My experience

Following the completion of my Accounting and Financial Management degree at the University of Buckingham, I worked for a local housing developer in the finance team. In 2007, I knew I wanted to go into private practice, and joined Hale Partnerships Ltd (now Whitley Stimpson Ltd!) as a trainee accountant and began my studies towards my ACCA qualification.

I qualified in 2010 and since then, have worked my way up the firm to director. I now assist with looking after clients and the team at the High Wycombe office.

Describe what you do at Whitley Stimpson

I have a particular interest in corporate work, including audit and assurance assignments for owner-managed businesses and groups of companies. I also have experience in charity work, with my previous role as treasurer of St Michaels & All Angels Church, Beaconsfield. I enjoyed this role as it brings different challenges, giving advice for a not-for-profit organisation in comparison to corporate businesses. I enjoyed this role as it brings different challenges, giving advice for a not-for-profit organisation in comparison to corporate businesses.

As a member of the Whitley Stimpson management team, and now being a business owner myself, I feel I understand the task of juggling various responsibilities. I use this understanding to help clients, using examples from my own experience in different areas.

I work and maintain a close relationship with a variety of clients. I enjoy communicating with my clients regularly as this allows me to understand and support their business needs.

Why Whitley Stimpson?

We are a client focused organisation that concentrates on the individual needs of each client. We believe in a personal, friendly approach to what can sometimes be a complicated and stressful process for our clients.

What matters to you?

The people, whether that is clients or staff this is the most important thing to me. I am an honest, straightforward person and I like to work with like-minded people.

Being a mum is also very important to me and this helps me understand the pressures that my clients face with running a business alongside supporting a family.
