Heather Finnigan became an Accounting Technician in 1998 after studying by correspondence course whilst living in Germany. Originally from an administrative and accounts background, Heather has a broad range of experience having previously worked in banking, in educational establishments, and in the hospitality industry. At the same time she has brought up two children and moved house every two to three years because of her husband’s Army postings in Europe and Cyprus.

Heather joined Whitley Stimpson in July 1999 and was made a Fellow of the Association of Accounting Technicians in 2004. She specialises in assisting and training clients to set up and use computer based accounts packages, dealing with client queries and with tax returns.

In her management role Heather looks after junior staff, providing technical advice and mentoring as they progress from trainees to qualified accountants.

When she is not working, Heather divides her time between running to keep fit and to raise money for charity, gardening, and her new hobby of painting and decorating.
