Martin joined Whitley Stimpson as a trainee in 1986 and progressed to Partner in 2000.
Having grown up in the local area, Martin is fully aware of the needs of the local community and with the ever changing demands of his clients.
Martin prides himself in always being available and accessible to his clients as he strongly believes that, to get the maximum benefit from your accountant, it is important to work together as closely as possible. His professional and friendly all-round approach to his clients’ affairs has meant that he has developed an extensive and varied portfolio. This portfolio has given him a depth of knowledge and experience to advise businesses.
Specialist areas derive from the audit and professional practice compliance where his expertise in advising on both practical and technical issues has enabled his clients to develop their businesses.
Martin is also involved in a number of honorary positions, mainly with a sporting bias, within the local community.
Away from work Martin can normally be found coaching junior football and cricket as he has a keen interest in developing the youngsters’ skills. He believes that, other than the joy of playing sport, it teaches good social skills which will help the youngsters during their adult lives.
