Ann Simmonds
Ann qualified in 1985 with a practice based in Milton Keynes. Whilst there, she gained much experience in all aspects of accounts and audits across a wide range of businesses.
She then went on to work as a Financial Accountant for a preparatory school in Milton Keynes before she relocated to Aberdeen.
On her return to England she went onto specialise in regulatory work for mainly owner-managed businesses. In particular, this included:
- Solicitors practices
- Charities
- FSA audits for Insurance brokers
- Clubs and Societies
Ann is currently working towards a Diploma in Charity Accounting. She also has expertise in areas of taxation, particularly P11D’s and IR35 companies and is a specialist in the firms Education Team that advises schools who are thinking of converting to Academy school or have already done so.
This experience she brought to Whitley Stimpson in 2008.
Outside of work, her two young children keep her very busy, but what spare time she has, she likes to spend line dancing and horse riding.
