Laura Herbert

Laura began her accounting career in 2005 by qualifying as a book-keeper before assuming her first role in accounting practice. Her book-keeping skills gave her an understanding of the fundamental principles that underlie the accounting function. As such she now assists many clients with Sage and QuickBooks queries.
Laura joined Hale Partnership in 2006 where she gained a broad range of experience in accounts, tax and audit for a mix of sole traders through to mediums sized companies and groups.
She joined Whitley Stimpson as part of the audit and accounts team that merged from Hale Partnership in October 2010. She has since gained her ACCA qualification in February 2011.
Laura has a particular interest and considerable experience in group accounts together with the related corporate tax issues. She spends a considerable amount of her time on site with her clients where she feels she can provide the best client care, making a real difference to the day-to-day issues in the finance function.
She is also a specialist in the firms Education Team that advises schools who are thinking of converting to an Academy school or have already done so.
Away from the office Laura spends much of her time with her family and close nit group of friends. She loves music, cooking and eating out and is a keen gym member. She also loves taking the opportunity to get out on her motorbike whenever she can.
