After leaving school Martin joined Whitley Stimpson in 1980, qualifying in 1985. He became a Partner in 1997.

Martin is a specialist in the education sector acting for a broad range of schools and academies.  He heads up the firms Education Team that advises schools who are thinking of converting to Academy school or have already done so.  He is currently presenting to schools across the country to assist in the discussion and consultation process  with teachers, staff and Governors.

Martin has a substantial client portfolio, encompassing large companies and high net worth individuals. He acts for a number of GP practices and GPs, as well as advising family businesses and their owners. Experienced in all aspects of accounting and tax, clients benefit from his thorough working knowledge of taxation and related strategic business and personal planning.  Martin has a versatile and passionate approach to his clients and prides himself in being a guardian of people's futures.

Martin is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales Healthcare Group and is Chair person of the Trustees of Banbury School. He is a keen season ticket holder at Oxford United and in his spare time runs an unpaid taxi service for his 5 children.
