Kieran Smith

Trainee Accountant

My experience

After working in industry for nearly 4 years and achieving MAAT status I decided to make the move to practice and was fortunate enough to be able to join Whitley Stimpson in July 2019. I am now studying towards my ACCA and have been provided with a very good study package to support this.

Describe what you do at Whitley Stimpson

As a trainee I am involved in accounts preparation, personal and corporation tax returns, as well as service charge accounting.

Why Whitley Stimpson?

I was drawn towards Whitley Stimpson because their employees are personable and approachable, and it is great to work as part of a tight-knit team. It is a company very much focused on training and getting the best out of individuals. There is also a lot of scope for progression within the company enabling staff to grow and prosper.

What matters to you?

A good work place in which you are surrounded by ambitious, like-minded people that are supportive but also up for a laugh. I also believe that it is important that both staff and clients are considered, and Whitley Stimpson certainly maintain a happy relationship.
