Nick Ronson

Senior Manager

My experience

I started my career as a trainee accountant in practice, obtaining my AAT qualification. Later, I transitioned to industry, where I stayed until 2016. During my industry tenure, I worked across manufacturing, private healthcare, and automotive sectors, handling various responsibilities within the finance functions of SMEs.

Returning to practice in 2016, I began to work towards my ACCA qualification and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2020. I believe my combined experiences reflect my ability to understand client’s needs, which enables me to provide targeted support and advice.

Describe what you do at Whitley Stimpson

I enjoy being ‘hands-on’ and actively involved, and my role as Senior Manager enables me to do this daily by being the first point of contact for my clients. Because of this, I have a varied and interesting range of client’s needs to meet every day.

I oversee a diverse portfolio of clients, which includes service companies, manufacturing-based concerns, agricultural clients, and trusts.

Why Whitley Stimpson?

Having gained experience in both large and small firms, spanning industry and practice, I firmly believe that Whitley Stimpson has struck the right balance. The focus and personal service provided to clients are, in my opinion, excellent.

It occupies a middle ground—not excessively large nor too small—allowing us to have the depth and experience to draw upon across the group, meaning we can service clients of all sizes and complexity while at the same time retaining that all-important local office feel.

The company demonstrates a clear commitment to both its staff and clients, maintaining a well-balanced approach that ensures support for employees while fulfilling client requirements.

What matters to you?

I believe in providing quality service for our clients and building a strong relationship that is needed to be a trusted advisor. Being accessible and offering guidance when required is pivotal to me. Additionally, I prioritise supporting colleagues in their professional growth. Beyond work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and friends and pursuing my hobbies of songwriting and playing music.
