Rebecca England

Trainee Accountant

My experience

I graduated from University with a first-class BSc. (Hons) degree in Business and Management. From this I gained an insight into accounting and decided this was the career path I wanted to pursue. I started working with Whitley Stimpson just before Christmas 2019 as a trainee accountant and really enjoy it. During my time with the firm, I have gained a wide range of experience in many aspects of accounting and tax.

Describe what you do at Whitley Stimpson

I get involved in a wide variety of different types of work within the firm such as preparing accounts, VAT returns and tax returns as well as ad hoc projects. I especially like the diversity of work and clients – from personal tax returns to being part of the audit team for our larger clients. I am training to be a chartered accountant and I expect to sit my finals in 2022.

Why Whitley Stimpson?

A positive and professional work environment allowing me to develop my interpersonal skills and build relationships with both clients, colleagues, and external contacts of the firm.
