Marketing Assistant

We are looking to recruit a Marketing Assistant for our office in High Wycombe.

The successful candidate will assist the Marketing Team in daily activities to promote the Whitley Stimpson brand across all areas.  To work with other functions across the business as well as clients and other outside agencies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support the Marketing Manager with marketing activities across all Whitley Stimpson offices and liaise with the Junior Marketing Assistant on all tasks as required and requested.
  • Attend meetings when requested as note taker.  Provide minutes to attendees and action items as necessary.
  • Produce marketing materials and literature and ensure these are supplied to all offices for use.
  • Provide support for marketing events and exhibitions as required to include all administration duties – collating information, follow-up phone calls / literature etc.
  • Support the Marketing Manager at events as required ensuring that all delegates are registered and looked after in a professional manner.
  • Under the guidance of the Marketing Manager, produce and organise the production of marketing material and communications.
  • Assist with the collation of information and promotional literature as required.
  • Prepare interesting and informative copy for use by the Company’s outside PR agency, the Company website, Intranet and other social media sites.  As requested upload material on to social media sites and manage accordingly.
  • Research accounting news to write relevant news story content for the Company’s website in the correct tone of voice and style of Whitley Stimpson
  • Prepare statistics as requested by the Marketing Manager for reports as needed.
  • Update and maintain the Marketing department’s documentation and databases on a regular basis to ensure all details are up to date, relevant & compliant.

You will have:

  • A sound understanding of marketing principles with strong computer skills – Microsoft Office & ideally Adobe Photoshop, PowerPoint, Publisher, Adobe InDesign, Canva.
  • Good communication skills both written & verbal.
  • A degree in marketing or similar business related degree demonstrating the ability to write (e.g. essay based degree).
  • The ability to travel to other offices and venues as required.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work to strict deadlines.
  • A confident, personable, presentable and articulate nature.
  • Excellent communication and administration skills with the ability to manage own time.
  • The ability to work independently with a “can do” attitude but also with the ability to work as part of a team.
  • The ability to problem solve and use own initiative, be self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook.
