Accountants and business advisors Whitley Stimpson has entered a team to take part in Witney’s Twin Town Challenge – a charity car rally to raise money for local charity SpecialEffect.
Over the spring bank holiday weekend the team, known as Whitley Wheels, will take part in the Challenge where teams buy a £500 banger and take an epic road trip from Blenheim Palace to Witney’s twin town, Le Touquet in northern France.
Laura Adkins, Director at Whitley Stimpson, one of the largest accountancy and business advisors in the area with offices in Witney, Banbury, Bicester and High Wycombe explains: “We’re looking forward to participating in what promises to be a really fun challenge! Witney’s Twin Town Challenge has an excellent track record of fundraising for charity, and this year’s challenge has really motivated the team to get into top gear in support of Charlbury based SpecialEffect, which is a truly inspirational charity. You never know, we might even win one of the challenges!”
The Twin Town Challenge supports the gamers’ charity SpecialEffect. This unique cause helps people with physical disability to get a new lease of life through assistive technology. All proceeds from the Twin Town Challenge go towards the cost of their one-to-one support. It helps to fund the customised equipment and software that allows disabled people to work, play and enjoy life.
Laura and her team, which includes Alan Morgan, Luke Wiseman and Stacey Clack, hope to raise more than £2,000 in sponsorship.
Whitley Stimpson will report back on the team’s progress and welcomes your support as Laura and her team prepare to complete the drive. The firm remains committed to giving back to the community and supporting worthy causes and have a wide programme of sponsorships in sport, education and the arts. Whitley Stimpson’s directors and staff are also personally involved in voluntary contributions to the wellbeing of others in many ways.
