Whitley Stimpson Celebrates 90th Anniversary with Staff

Oct 22, 2021

Whitley Stimpson celebrates 90th Anniversary with an annual firm away day last week at A Day in the Country, near Banbury.

After being unable to put on their away day in 2020 due to COVID, it was a great opportunity to bring everyone in the firm together and celebrate 90 years in business.

The day began with tea, coffee and biscuits, and a briefing of the day’s activities ahead. There were eight different outdoor activities available at stations around the grounds for staff to try their hand at: Axe throwing, Archery, Clay Shooting, Falconry, Hovercraft Driving, Laser Clay shooting, Rage Buggies and Wall Climbing. Some of the activities were old favourites from previous away days, whilst others were new-found favourites.

This was then followed by prize giving for the best performers of each activity and a BBQ dinner and drinks. During the BBQ celebration staff enjoyed a pop-up performance from Opera Anywhere where four performers spent the day ‘acting’ so they could surprise everyone with their singing during the celebration BBQ.

Director Jonathan Walton said:

“It was wonderful to be able to bring together colleagues from each of our four offices after what seems such a long time. The day was informal and relaxed and just what we needed in celebration of 90 years in business. After COVID put a stop to our Away Day plans last year, we certainly made up for it this year.”

Whitley Stimpson is committed to training and developing its staff across all areas of the firm.
