Whitley Stimpson to support Libfest 2017

Jun 9, 2017

Whitley Stimpson, who sponsored the Witney Beerfest and the World Poohsticks Championships as well as other events close to their Banbury, Bicester and High Wycombe offices, are proud to be supporting Libfest 2017 on the 24th June.

Libfest, held in Witney every year, is a free music and arts festival that raises money for several national charities in memory of Liberty Baker who was tragically killed in 2014. The first festival took place in 2015 with over 3,500 people in attendance to remember the life and loves of Liberty. The festival continued to grow and in 2016, Libfest raised £25,500 for SeeSaw, chART UK and the Thames Valley Air Ambulance. Since its inception, the festival has raised a total of £37,550 for charity.

This year’s event will feature the same great live music from local bands and performers as previous years, with a main stage area providing the ideal setting for a varied range of artists. There will also be a 5K fun run for guests to enter in the morning, before unwinding in the evening with the likes of a silent disco and a dance arena. There will also be an open mic tent and a children’s play area.

Laura Adkins, a director of Whitley Stimpson, was keen to express her delight at sponsoring such an important local event. She said: “It’s truly an honour to be sponsoring Libfest. It is such a meaningful event and the organisers do a fantastic job every year of honouring Liberty with an occasion that helps so many charities that are close to the Witney community.

“At Whitley Stimpson we have a longstanding commitment to helping and supporting our local communities in any way we can and we are just so excited for what promises to be another triumph for the team behind Libfest.”

Independent accountancy firm Whitley Stimpson has been supporting local initiatives in the Oxfordshire area for over 86 years and is dedicated to creating a better environment through sports, education and the arts.
