My experience

After finishing my A-levels in 2013, I joined a small accountancy practice as a trainee accountant. After passing all my exams first time, I qualified as a chartered certified accountant in 2017.

I joined Whitley Stimpson in 2022, and since this time, I have continued to develop my technical and practical skills.

Since starting my career in accountancy, I have been exposed to limited company accounts, personal tax, corporation tax, VAT, payroll, and audit. Now, I work closely with owner-managed businesses to give them the best advice and help their businesses grow.

Describe what you do at Whitley Stimpson

My role at Whitley Stimpson involves managing a varied portfolio of clients and assisting them with all their accounting and taxation needs. I also assist our team of trainees in the Bicester office, and I enjoy being able to help them develop their knowledge.

Why Whitley Stimpson?

Having come from a much smaller firm, I wanted to broaden my knowledge and really push myself to the next level – Whitley Stimpson has been the perfect employer for this. Everyone is very supportive of each other, and I feel like a valued member of the team.

We are the perfect size practice. We are small enough to be able to build excellent relationships with all our clients and give them the personal service they require, but we are large enough to be able to deal with anything they may need. You can guarantee that there is someone across one of our four offices that will have the expertise and specialist knowledge they may need.

What matters to you?

I really enjoy helping people, whether that is a colleague who needs help with their training or a client who needs some tax advice. It is nice to know that you have been able to make a difference for someone.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our two young children, and two dogs. It’s very hectic, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
