My experience

Having graduated from the University of Reading in the summer of 2023 in Accounting and Management, I’ve decided that working in accounts would be suited to my skillset, while I was able to gain some insight into how the company operated when I had work experience at the company in 2022. Furthermore, I have had experience trying to meet customer needs when I worked as a ticket office operator at Wycombe Wanderers Football Club, so there are transferrable skills that can be applied to this job.

Describe what you do at Whitley Stimpson

At Whitley Stimpson, I am involved with preparing service change accounts, self-assessments, statutory accounts, and audit, whilst I am studying for the ACA qualification.

Why Whitley Stimpson?

One of the key reasons for joining Whitley Stimpson was the variety of tasks the company does in areas such as VAT, tax, and service charge accounting. In addition, the company has a very good reputation for training new employees which is enhanced by the fact that several employees joined the company as trainees. Therefore, having this support network of colleagues would allow me to develop the skills required to competently perform a wide range of assignments.

What matters to you?

For me, it is important to have a positive working environment where staff are always willing to work hard and help each other but are also quite relaxed, as this will help improve job satisfaction and performance, which can meet the client’s needs.
