My experience

After 10 years in the wine industry and attaining my Diploma in Wines, I wanted a change of career that combined my degree in mathematics and providing a service, with new/varied challenges. And so I looked to accounting. Having joined the Banbury team in July 2023, I am embracing this challenge and will be working towards attaining my ACA qualification.

Describe what you do at Whitley Stimpson

I assist in the preparation of year-end accounts and tax returns for small businesses, partnerships, and sole traders. I also prepare self-assessment tax returns as well as assisting with VAT returns.

Why Whitley Stimpson?

Not being local, I was introduced to Whitley Stimpson by a friend who gave me great insight into the opportunities available. The depth of knowledge and training available is excellent, and the office culture is constructive and supportive, meaning I am relishing my challenges and can see my development.

What matters to you?

In the office, I aim to embrace all the challenges presented and to become well-rounded with the different facets of accounting. Outside of work, I continue to build my knowledge of wines and enjoy sharing a glass with my friends.
